CNN right now at Terri's 'vigil'

and Larry Klayman, founder of 'Judicial Watch' is asking for a 'stay of execution' for Terri ...he is now talking about the possibility of gunplay if someone goes in to hook Terri up again and 'allegations of abuse that have just been uncovered'
(huh?) and my question is WHERE ARE THE GOOD PEOPLE ON THE SIDE OF TERRI, who want her wishes to be carried out?????
Someone needs to be there and say, hey, Terri didn't  want this, she didn't want to be kept alive this way, and the courts are protecting HER RIGHTS!

I couldn't believe my ears. Larry Klayman, spokesman for Judicial Watch, established in 1994 to serve as an ethical and legal "watchdog" over our government, is actually proposing calling out the national guard to seize Terri Schiavo's body my military force.

Larry Klayman has formally crossed over to the side of the fascist theocons with this announcement. The Judicial Watch subterfuge of upholding the rule of law has been renounced.

exactly! where are the people on Terri's side? (none / 0)

because Terri doesn't want to be kept alive. She said so, in front of her family...why is that so hard for her parents to understand?
My question remains: why is CNN forced to show only these people? why isn't there someone from the 'choice to die with dignity' side RIGHT THERE IN FLORIDA!?

Ask Harry Reid (none / 0)

Dean has been muzzled. It looks to me like Nader is letting the Dems stew in their own incompetence. I don't know about the ACLU. Do they have a rapid response team?

I would hazard a guess that the "secular liberals" are all at home having a quiet Easter dinner with their families. The only kooks sick enough to spend Easter Sunday promoting fascism in the name of a fifteen year old corpse are theocons.

Nader weighs in (none / 0)

Talk about strange bedfellows, from Hullabaloo, Digby informs us that Nader sides with Randall Terry

Nader calls upon the Florida Courts, Governor Jeb Bush and concerned citizens to take any legal action available to let Terri Schiavo live.

Terri formed a new family when she married Michael. Perhaps you have heard the expression "cutting the apron strings." That is a very accurate explanation of the overwhelming legal consensus that a spouse is closer to and more knowledgeable about the wishes of their life partner.

Terri's second cousins are also part of her extended family. So what?

Usually just for the Sunday Funnies Shows. I've watched more CNN and Faux News today than I have in the last six months.

Not counting Lou Dobbs.

Schiavo Act passed by unanimous consent (none / 0)

Sen. Mitch McConnell just announced on Faux News that the there was no dissent at all in the Senate. It passed with unanimous consent on a voice vote.

Claims that the nuclear option looks inevitable because new Senate leader Reid refuses to sit down and discuss changing their tactics on blocking judges.

Dems also not being reasonable on Social Security. "We just want to sit down and talk with our Democratic friends and put all options on the table."

Newt accuses libruls of support murder (none / 0)

Dirty rotten mean libruls won't allow an innocent life to receive communion or let loving parents put water on their innocent daughtere's lips.

When Brit "FDR favors privatization" Hume asks Richardson if he is troubled by the double standard of libruls on States rights, Richardson panders by agreeing he favored leaving feeding tube in, but doesn't want politicians struting their stuff for votes at the expense of a terrible family situation.

Fox All Stars up next.

Fox All Star Panel Time! (none / 0)

Yipeee!

Britt: Peculiar polls, Congress doing badly.

Fred: The questions were poorly worded. She's not in a coma, she's not brain dead. The truth is going to be helped or hurt by the media. When you take a moral position, politics tends to reward that. Just the other day, Sen. Hillary Clinton was praising right to lifers.

Mara:  The question over the long term is who is going to still care about this issue down the road, and the fight over judges. The people who support conservative judges are the people who care most. A passionate minority will have more clout.

Britt: Does that explain how the Senate Dems acted?

Kristol: Maybe some of the Dems just thought it was wrong. She's been alive for fifteen years. The Fla. courts gave the husband who is living with a different woman the right to terminate her life.  Florida courts were comitting an injustice.

Juan: I disagree. Courts have behaved the way they are supposed to in a civil society. Courts look at the record and say why are we going back to this? Husband is trying to live up to Terri's wishes. Which is the way most people feel.

Most Americans see this as a tragic family issue, that Congress should stay out of.

Fred:  Let's just thoroughly examine the diagnosis. No MRI, etc., does she have partial consciousness, can she recover? We have all these questions. We only know one thing for certain. The husband wants her to die. Shouldn't we err on the side of life?

Kristol: We don't know what here wishes would be in this case. It is incomprehensible not to err on the side of life. She is living with a feeding tube, a feeding tube.

Juan: Nobody is talking about killing anyone here. We are talking about keeping her alive with extraoridinary measures.

Fred & Bill: What extraordinary measures?

Juan: A feeding tube is extraordinary measure over fifteen years. An MRI has been done.

Fred: No it hasn't.

Juan: These other doctors have never examined Terri. When most Americans hear Tom DeLay they are appalled.

Fred:  Nobody is saying it is not about politics on either side. You think she doesn't have a sufficient quality of life so she doesn't deserve to live.

This decision to pull the plug is always when they are dying or in pain.

Juan: What about Bush's law in Texas?

Fred: That's wrong.  Is it wrong to take a moral position?

Kristol: You're wrong to say this is about politics.

Mara: It's possible that both sides feel they are doing the right thing.

Britt: And perhaps the politicians as well.

Careful. If you watch too much of that stuff you'll start to believe that the government is spying on you through your toaster.

I don't freaking believe it!!! (none / 0)

copied from dKos

But, given the vehemence with which he has been fighting to prolong Terri's life, it is a little surprising to learn that Robert [Teri's father] decided to turn off the life-support system for his mother. She was 79 at the time, and had been ill with pneumonia for a week, when her kidneys gave out. "I can remember like yesterday the doctors said she had a good life. I asked, 'If you put her on a ventilator does she have a chance of surviving, of coming out of this thing?'" Robert says "I was very angry with God because I didn't want to make those decisions."

So
Delay murdered his father
Teri's father knocked off his mother
The religious cult support Teri's parent whacked their leader.

These people have no shame!!!!

Besides telling us how to live, think, marry, pray, vote, invest, educate our children and, die, the GOP has done a fine job of getting gov't out of our lives.

Re: I don't freaking believe it!!! (none / 0)

Their minds actually work differently than yours and mine. They are a different species that are sequential thinkers who are unable to make causal connections between events.

Of course, they are being manipulated by Rove and sophisticated think tanks who use a systemic analysis to play on their emotions and religious beliefs.

That doesn't change the fact that they are the scum of the earth because they are accusing us of being murderers because we understand the complicated clinical term brain death.
